FAQ
In short, it's the individual attention and extra experience a private coach brings to the lesson. Private coaches, like El Paso Private Swim Lessons' coach, Mae, get to give you or your children their undivided attention, customizing the lesson to better meet the client's needs. This makes for higher quality lessons and quicker learning!
At El Paso Private Swim Lessons, we first get details about you or your child and work together with you to determine what your swim goals are and how we can best achieve them. Then we schedule a designated time to meet regularly with you so you can plan on when and where lessons will occur. After that, Mae will send you texts a day before the lesson to check in.
On the first day, you will get to see Mae at work in the water and determine if private lessons with her are a good fit or not. If they are, you pay the full amount for all 8 lessons. If the lessons don't feel like a good fit, that's okay too. You just pay for that one lesson and we will book that time slot with a different client.
After the first lesson, you meet regularly with Mae to meet your swim goals. If you know you will be out of town, please let her know ASAP so you can schedule around that date. You will get 1 make up day per 8 lessons and its best to save those for unforeseen sicknesses or unavoidable events.
Life happens, so for every 8 lessons you take, you get one 24-hour cancelation "pass." These are usually used for sickness or unavoidable and unscheduled events. You can make up this missed lesson at the end of the season or during the week soon after.
If you know you and your family will be traveling this summer, let Mae know so that she can schedule the lessons somewhere else.
Investing blindly into a package of any kind can be nerve-wracking. To make you feel more at ease with investing in private swim lessons with Mae, you pay for the lessons in whole only after you've had your first session with Mae.
If it's a good fit, you pay for the package, if not, you pay for the lesson. Mae accepts cash, check, Zelle, or Cash App.
Mae usually gets her clients "swimming" after one or two sessions. She usually has them swimming with confidence after 6-7 lessons.
Exceptions to this timeline are if the client has severe psychological trauma with the water, sensory sensitivities to the water, or special needs. These clients may need additional lessons to build trust with Mae and their bodies in the water.
